JAMES CROOKS JR., RSSA, CLTC

James Crooks Jr. has been serving individuals and families in the financial services industry since 2009. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a licensed fiduciary investment advisor, committed to acting in the best interest of his clients.

James began his career helping retirees and pre-retirees with life insurance and Medicare. Early on, he recognized a common need among his clients: a more comprehensive, coordinated retirement strategy. Today, James specializes in building holistic retirement plans that integrate investments, income planning, Medicare, long-term care, life insurance, tax strategies, and legacy planning.

He holds certifications as a Registered Social Security Analyst (RSSA®) and in Long-Term Care (CLTC®), bringing added insight to two of the most important aspects of retirement. James and his team focus on helping clients navigate their core retirement decisions with clarity and confidence—always with the goal of protecting what matters most and preserving peace of mind.
Investment advisory services are offered through Sequent Planning, a Registered Investment Adviser. Insurance products and services are offered through SurePoint Financial, which is not affiliated with Sequent Planning. James Crooks Jr. is both a licensed insurance agent and an Investment Adviser Representative. Advisory and insurance services are separate and distinct, and are offered through different entities.
